Charging Your Phone At Disney World

When embarking on your magical Disney adventure, having a charged phone is crucial for so many reasons. You don’t want to miss capturing your child’s magical moment or booking that must have Lightning Lane. Finding a convenient place to give that phone a charge can be a lifesaver for your Disney day. From power bank machines to lesser know nooks, this post has you covered and will help you have your most enchanting Disney day.

Magic Kingdom – Magic Kingdom is one of the parks where people will find it most useful to use Genie Plus. This park can also be very tricky to navigate if you’ve never been before. With that being said, you will likely be on your phone a TON during your Magic Kingdom day. I can also almost guarantee this is a park where you will take the most pictures and videos. Because of all of those things, it is absolutely critical that you have a charged phone for this day. Here are some of the places you can charge while in MK.

  • Tangled bathrooms – Outside these bathrooms are stumps you can sit on and hidden on some of those stumps are charging ports.
  • Pete’s Silly Sideshow
  • Fantasyland – It’s a Small World Area

Epcot – A great place to charge your phone in Epcot is Connections Cafe. This cafe has several places that have full outlets and USB ports but the most important thing to know about Connections Cafe is it is the ONE place in Disney World that has wireless charging. In the middle of the tall tables in this cafe there are wireless charging stations. So, if you’ve

made it to the parks with no charger and no cord you are not totally out of luck.

Another place in Epcot you can find charging stations, is inside The Land Pavilion. These are located in the seating area outside of the Soarin bathrooms. You can also find outlets in the American adventure building.

Animal Kingdom – While traveling through Animal Kingdom, you aren’t going to find many places to charge your phone. You can find charging stations in one of my favorite spots and that is Nomad lounge. Nomad lounge is an incredible place to take a break during your Animal Kingdom day. This location has great drinks, incredible small plates and built in ports for phone charging at the bar. So hop into this relaxing space, grab a drink and get that phone a little juice.

Hollywood Studios – Hollywood studios is another park where it can be a little difficult to find a place to charge your phone. One spot that does have some outlets available is ABC Commissary. Pop in here and grab my favorite quick service meal, the buffalo chicken grilled cheese and give that phone a charge while you eat.

Charging on the go – Having the ability to charge on the go will likely save you some time during your Disney day. I always carry a portable charger and charging cable in my park bag. The model I’m currently using is this Anker GaNPrime Power Bank. I like this model because it pulls double duty. It is a power bank and a charging hub. If you are looking for a more compact option, the Anker Nano Power Bank might be a good option for you.

How to find a charging station – If you find yourself in the park having regrets about not bringing a portable charger with you, have no fear! Disney has stations located around each park where you can purchase a fuel rod. A fuel rod is a small portable charger that you can buy in the parks and even exchange at these machines if you need a fresh charge. Can’t find a charger station? You’re in luck. The My Disney Experience app can show you where to find these stations. If you go into the app and search “portable phone charging” a map will come up that will show you where all of the charger stations are located.

You will be on the go and on your phone a tremendous amount of time during your Disney vacation. The last thing you want is to miss your video of that magical moment because you have a dead battery. So power up and stay connected using these tips on how you can charge your phone at Disney.
