Are you heading to Disney World in 2024? We want to make sure you have the most magical experience! Being prepared with the right essentials will help ensure that you have your best trip. From comfortable gear to organizational must-haves, we’ve rounded up 24 Amazon items that you need for your Disney World adventure in 2024.

1. Portable Phone Charger

While you can find a few places to plug in at Disney if you want to make the most of your time, you’ll want to be able to charge on the go. I am a huge fan of Anker chargers! We have several different models and products all of which are high quality and have endured many trips. If you’re going to be supporting many phones/devices during your Disney day you may want to opt for a large charger like this one. I have four phones to support when we travel and a vlogging camera, so this is the one I keep in my park bag. If you are traveling alone or carrying a smaller park bag, you may want to opt for a smaller charger. This option is lightweight, doesn’t require a cord and won’t take up much room in your bag.

2. Cooling Towels

Holy cow can that Florida weather get hot! Cooling towels are an easy way to cool off when that heat is getting to you. What I love about these towels is how easy they are to pack, reuse and refresh.

3. Comfortable Walking Shoes

You will probably be walking close to 20,000 steps a day during your Disney vacation and having the right shoes will make or break your trip. My top choices are a great running shoe or a tried-and-true sandal. For a running shoe I’ve found that my top choice is Asics. These shoes are comfortable and provide a wide base to keep your foot stable and have plenty of room. My favorite sandals to wear to the parks are Crocs. If you’re looking for more info on this, you can check out my full article on The Best Shoes to Wear to Disney World and if you want to know all the ways to take care of your feet on your trip check out How to Save Your Feet at Disney World.

4. Disney-Themed Clothing

Nothing says Disney vacation more than some great Disney coordinated outfits. One of the most popular things to wear to the parks are athletic dresses (this one has detachable shorts so you can go to the bathroom!!) or tennis skirts. You can pair a great dress with some matching ears for a quick and easy look that will keep you comfy all day long. If you’re looking for some great Disney outfits for your little one check out these adorable dresses.

5. Portable Fan

If your Disney travel will be in the warmer months, you will want to have multiple items with you to help you keep cool. Disney heat is no joke and having ways to keep cool will help make your trip so much more enjoyable. Portable fans come in several different varieties. My personal favorite is the misting fan. You can also get a fan that will sit directly on your neck to help keep you constantly cool. Another very important version of portable fan you may want to consider is the clip-on fan for your stroller. Giving your little one a breeze to help them stay cool is sure to help them stay happier during your park day.

6. Water Bottle

Buying water at Disney can get expensive quickly. Taking an insulated water bottle will help you save money and stay hydrated. There are water bottle refilling stations in the parks, but they are not abundant and can be out of the way. You can find these water bottle stations using a filter in the My Disney Experience app. To keep your water bottle full of ice-cold water you can request cups of ice water for free at quick service locations. Another great reason to take a water bottle is because it can become your favorite souvenir. Take a metal water bottle and a sharpie and have the characters sign that instead of an autograph book. You’ll come home with an adorable souvenir that you can use every day.

7. Stroller Organizer and Label

If you’re traveling with little ones, a stroller organizer can help keep your much needed items at your fingertips. During a long park day, the basket of your stroller is likely to become overloaded. Taking a stroller organizer will keep you from digging through that overloaded basket and will help you feel more prepared and less stressed.

A stroller label is another must have for your Disney trip. We learned the hard way on our first Disney trip that cast members may move your stroller while you’re on a ride. Having a label

attached to your stroller will save you some stress of having to search for your stroller amongst a sea of other strollers.

8. Blister protection

When it comes to preventing or covering any blisters you may get at Disney World there is one product that I swear by and that’s mole skin. Mole skin can be found in lots of different versions and is easy to throw in your park bag. My personal favorite are these small rectangles. I like the size of these because you can cut them down if needed or at their given size they are great for protecting a heel or under a strap.

9. MagicBand accessories

Are you concerned about your little one’s Magic Band falling off in the park? I can confirm this is a legitimate fear after having experienced it myself, but the good news is that there’s an easy solution to prevent this from happening. You can purchase one of these small bands and slide it onto your kiddos MagicBand to help make sure that it stays closed.

10. Sunscreen

This one probably seems pretty obvious but protecting your skin with a high SPF sunscreen is something you don’t want to forget on your Disney vacay. Making sure your family stays protected from that Florida sun will help make sure you won’t have to deal with what my family calls the “sun grumps.” Basically, hot, painful sunburn = grouchy, moody family and nobody wants that.

11. Baggies

Zip-top bags are a must have for any vacation in my opinion but can be especially useful for a Disney vacation. Bought a tasty treat and don’t want to finish it? Zip-top bag. Bought you kiddo the bubble wand and they don’t want to carry it? Throw it in a zip-top bag before you put it in your park bag to make sure it doesn’t leak all over everything. If you want to be a little more eco-friendly, pack these reusable zip-top bags and you can just rinse them out and use them over and over throughout your trip.

12. Backpack

A lightweight backpack makes the perfect park bag. I’ve had a few different versions of park bags but my go to is just a Nike backpack that had belonged to my kids. What you want to look for in a backpack is something mid-sized with padded straps and a few small pockets that are easily accessible from the outside. Two side pockets is also very useful. I use one for my water bottle and one for my phone.

13. Fanny Pack or Waist Bag

A Fanny Pack is the perfect way to keep track of your belongings at Disney especially when you are traveling solo. These small bags are light and easy to wear. I like this one because it is small, light weight and washes well.

14. Running shorts

People are always asking what’s the best thing to wear to the parks and how to stay comfortable. One tried and true favorite is running shorts. These shorts are lightwight and comfortable. They are almost all made of moisture wicking fabric and they dry very quickly if you end up on a water ride. Running shorts also travel well because they don’t take up much room in your suitcase and don’t wrinkle easily.

15. Baby Wipes

Baby wipes are something I would always recommend traveling with if you are taking littles on your vacation. Not only are they handy for wiping down a messy kid, but they are also very useful for wiping off tables or cleaning up after a sticky snack.

16. Anti-Chafing Stick

No one likes to talk about it but when you’re at Disney you’re probably sweating and walking 20,000 steps a day and let’s just face it chaffing is a thing. Throwing a good skin protectant in your bag is important and will likely keep your family happy and more comfortable. Try this stick version from …. It’s easy to pack, easy to apply and travels well.

17. Portable Snack Containers

A snack container like this one can be a lifesaver when you’re traveling with little ones. Sometimes pleasing those little travelers in your group can be hard to do and they may try to assert their autonomy by not wanting the snack you packed BUT if you can present the snacks in a manner where they can independently choose which one they eat, they will still be able to practice their autonomy and you’ve just saved yourself a meltdown.

18. Ear Protection or Earplugs

One of the things that everyone talks about doing at Disney is seeing the fireworks. Three out of the four Disney parks have fireworks shows and they are incredible however, they are also incredibly loud. If you have a little one in your crew that does not like loud noises or fireworks at home they also will not like them at Disney World. Taking ear protection headphones or ear plugs can help your little one enjoy the amazing show while not being bothered by the noise.

19. Sharpies

If you are wanting to collect character autographs during your trip, it is good to take Sharpies for the characters to use. If you can find the click kind, that is even better. If you are using the water bottle idea to collect autographs, think about what color bottle you’re taking. If you want to use a black water bottle you can grab a metallic Sharpie and you will still be able to clearly see the autographs.

20. Snacks or Grab and Go Breakfast

No Disney resorts offer a free breakfast and many families will find themselves wanting to rush out to the parks in the morning. Keeping some quick breakfast options like granola bars or muffins in your room can help you get started quickly in the morning without having anyone be hangry. Also, having a few types of snacks that you can throw in your park bag is a good idea. Look for things that won’t melt and won’t get squished in your bag. I like to pack things like Pirate’s Booty or Skinny Pop.

21. Packable Rain Ponchos

Florida is known for its rain showers and it would be rare that you’ll make it through a whole trip without getting caught in one. Having some disposable ponchos in your bag can save the day! These ponchos are easy to pack and will keep you mostly dry during one of those pop up showers.

22. Glow Sticks or Light-Up Accessories

Add some magic to your evening at Disney World with glow sticks or light-up accessories. If you’ll be in the parks after dark, these light up accessories can help add extra fun to your kiddos evening and will make them easier to pick out in the crowd. If you’re traveling during a holiday season you can grab some holiday themed light up accessories to add to your magic.

23. Reusable Straws

Disney World has lots of tasty smoothies and Icee type treats, but they also don’t have plastic straws. A paper straw in a smoothie is never a good situation. Many people don’t even like the paper straws with sodas. If you are leery of the paper straws or know you might want to try a frozen treat, a set of reusable straws can be a great item to toss into your park bag.

24. Kids Costumes

While adults are not allowed to wear costumes to Disney World, kids certainly are. Especially if there is a princess in your travel crew, packing a costume can be a wonderful idea. Also, for families planning for their princess to have the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience, you do not have to pay the premium price for a costume from Disney. You are welcome to purchase your own costume ahead of time for this.

By having these essentials ready for your trip, you’ll be prepared for any situation and able to focus on enjoying the magic of Disney World. Happy planning, and may your Disney adventure be filled with unforgettable memories!
